Real Madrid Allegedly Signs Mbappe
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward Kylian Mbappe has apparently signed up with Real Madrid and will be moving to Santiago Bernabeu Stadium at the end of the 2021/22 season.
According to reports from a German newspaper, the 23-year-old French international – whose deal with PSG ends this July – inked a contract to the tune of €50 million with the La Liga giants.
This season has seen Mbappe produce 28 appearances across all competitions, bagging 19 goals and assisting with 16 goals for the Parisians.
The agreement has more attached to it than a price-tag but it is a done deal, according to Barcelona president Joan Gaspart.
Mbappe has seen a meteoric rise since he started with Ligue 1 club, Monaco, in December 2015. He has chalked up 178 club goals across 260 appearances between his debut team and PSG.
At just age 19, he tasted international glory playing for the French national team which won the 2018 FIFA World Cup; he also put his name in record books by being the youngest French player to score in the tournament’s final.
